Your Alumni Association

Continues to operate fiscally, as its own entity with its own fiscal management systems. No! We have not folded. We are more viable than ever and proud of it! We continue to fly as is demonstrated by our scholarship contributions, our community support contributions and our social events.

Regrettably, there are many renovations and building improvements to be made to the old Evergreen Elementary School on Highway 31 north. Thanks to William Crosby Building Constructionist (retired), we are receiving direct feedback from the School Board's architect, regarding this project. Upon completion, the Conecuh County Cultural Center, Home of the CCTS Eagles will feature: A little Theater, 2 very spacious meeting/banquet rooms.\, the County Museum, Kitchen area, and 5-6 large classrooms.

Our Hometown Sausage Festival

There was music, individual talent displays and vender's everywhere. For the past few years, the Annual Sausage Festival has become a hometown favorite celebration. For the past two years, your Alumni Association has participated with great success. We have been one of numerous vendors. We make and sell Eagle funnel cakes, roasted peanuts, flying hot dogs, Over the Top Cheesy Doritas, and lots of pop and water. Our Funnel Cakes are famous county-wide. We always run out before the Festival closes for the day. More exciting then the sales were the Eagles who came to help. Folks like Myrtle Nettles, Sandra Smith & Odessa Stallworth (moms of scholarship participant), Russell Hamilton (Chief Funnel maker) and his wife Theresa, Brandon Montgomery, and the honorable Larry Fluker, Mayor of the City. Of course the rest of us were on hand; Al, Nell Glen, Jim, Glenda, Nell Johnson, Janelle, Freida, Pearl, Jeanette, Crosby and Gwen. We had a ball.
